Rotermanni Offices

Scope: Interior Furnishing Design & Fit-Out

Location: Tallinn, Estonia

The visually captivating surroundings is an inspirational environment for a creative team consisting of architects, interior architects and engineers. The creative team works on the fifth floor and administrative staff is located one floor lower. Both floors have their own kitchen. The goal was to make a play on the beauty, form and purity of the materials, both in terms of style and spectrum. We preferred the architects’ favourite colours black and white, and dark details add accent to the general tonality.

The most important task of the floor plan was to ensure that the environment promoted teamwork, so we decided in favour of an open office and multiple meeting rooms. We concentrated the meeting spaces in the middle of the room, which are separated from the common area of the office space – the kitchen and break area. We wanted to keep the space open and full of air. We chose dignified, luxurious brass, piano lacquer, exotic ebony macassar veneer and natural stone (white marble and black granite) as our materials. We remained faithful to classic black-stained oak veneer and epo-concrete floors.
